The new year is a good time to introduce new work methods, implement new time management techniques and set new goals, so we invite all creative and enterprising individuals to join us at the workshop on the fundamentals of effective and successful business project management with practical examples. The workshop will be led by Matej Rus, the head of the Venture Factory and generator of innovative ideas.
The workshop will look into
- how to effectively manage your time and run your business the agile way,
- what it takes, other than a good salary, to attract top talent to your company,
- why false assumptions can kill your business,
- why you need to know the big picture first and see the forest before the trees.
Creative Accelerator is a series of training programmes run by the Centre for Creativity aimed at providing creatives and cultural workers with entrepreneurial skills.
Matej Rus
Matej Rus, MSc, is a senior lecturer in entrepreneurship. In parallel to his teaching and research career at the Faculty of Economics and Business, which he has been pursuing since 1996, he has also been focusing on entrepreneurial consulting. In 2001 he co-founded the Venture Factory, which has evolved into a thriving business incubator of the University of Maribor. His other roles include head of the organisational committee of the international PODIM conference, a government-appointed member of the working group of Slovenia – the Land of Startups action plan, and head of the Start:up Slovenia platform.
