Each project featured in Tunnel 29 was selected from an open call that invited designers to imagine a dark future where the natural environment has been destroyed but life continues in a controlled, artificial environment. The responses range from DIY furniture made of recycled plastics, objects made from invasive species of plant and salvaged scrap metal. It asks its viewers to reflect on the question: “How are the efforts to tackle such a reality reflected in the design of the future?”
