EIT Jumpstarter is a community that offers advanced knowledge, a unique program, professional trainers and mentors. The purpose of the program is to support idea holders to help them turn their ideas into business. They help innovators and entrepreneurs build a viable business model around their innovative idea, validate it and, if the idea proves to be sustainable, encourage them to start a business.
EIT Jumpstarter is suitable for individuals with an innovative business idea who want to gain practical insight into the development of the idea, setting up and running a business, in the following areas:
- health,
- nutrition (agriculture, food…),
- raw materials,
- energy,
- urban mobility,
- production or
- design.
Two key conditions are: an innovative idea and that the company has not yet been established.
Program participants gain the skills and knowledge needed to start their own business, and as part of the alumni community, they receive further support and dedicated advice from the EIT community on the next phase of business development. They help groups connect with potential partners, regulators, potential suppliers or first customers (B2B). Participants also meet with major innovation hubs in Europe, which is important when entering foreign markets.
