We are passing on TAM-TAM Institute’s open call for a city poster design on the subject of CORONAVIRUS as part of the PLAKTIVAT project.
For the first time in our lives we are dealing with an epidemic. It’s nothing like we’ve ever experienced before, nothing that we are really prepared for, and it’s a lot to take in in such a short time. Only a week ago we would describe such extreme measures and behaviour as panicking rather than responsible. We have only just begun adapting to the new reality. It’s not easy to understand that what we do can be fatal, not only for us, but for others. This time, we cannot shift responsibility to the state, society and institutions like we used to in previous crises – this time, the responsibility is also on us. We believe that, like in any critical situation, this crisis will also bring out the best and the worst in people.
We stand behind the formula: PLAKTIVAT + Slovenian creative spirit = common sense to minimise the negative impact of the corona.
To activate responsibility, solidarity and humanity in people to combat corona. The messages to live by at this time go beyond stay at home, wash your hands and keep a safety distance, they extend to being a fellow human being in every sense of the word.
Who can participate:
The call is open to all graphic artists, individuals and agencies or companies who want to make a contribution to creating our common living environment. By submitting the poster the artists agree to all terms and conditions of the call, both express and implied.
All posters that will take the creative challenge and comply with the technical requirements will be published on TAM-TAM’s social media (FB, IG, TW).
