The Open House Slovenia (OHS) architectural festival will once again open the doors to high-quality Slovenian architecture across the country. Taking place from April 11 to 13, 2025, the festival will offer free guided tours of over 70 architectural projects of various typologies.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience architecture in person, guided by architects, researchers, and other spatial experts.
This year’s central theme is Heritage for the Future, which questions the meaning of architectural and spatial heritage in today’s context. The program highlights innovative approaches to preservation and renovation, the importance of local identity, and the search for balance between respecting tradition and responding to contemporary challenges. The key question posed by the festival is: Which of today’s practices will become the heritage of tomorrow?
A professional jury selected the most outstanding projects from the submissions, recognizing them as relevant and high-quality responses to today’s architectural, social, and environmental issues.
The full festival program is published on the Open House Slovenia online platform, where mandatory registration for tours will be open starting April 2.
The event is held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar.
