DESIGN AND PRODUCTION

Decorative textiles produced on a weaving loom.
Duavita and Shunga are decorative textiles produced on a weaving loom, primarily intended for weaving jacquard textiles for the fashion industry. The Duavita and Shunga rapports are based on French silk wallpapers from the period of Louis XVI (18th century), which are also a ‘revival’ of late Renaissance Italian damasks. The patterns are not printed, but woven into a jacquard fabric from polyester yarn, recycled bottles and other plastic waste.
