New European Bauhaus: open calls

Application deadline: 12 Nov 2025

| 17:00

The European Commission has launched a new set of calls to promote integrated, sustainable and inclusive approaches to spatial development, as part of the New European Bauhaus initiative. The calls address key challenges in the areas of housing, neighbourhood renewal, the use of innovative and bio-fabricated building materials, and the design of community-based solutions to combat the negative effects of gentrification.

The focus is on introducing practices that simultaneously improve the quality of the living and built environment, reduce the environmental footprint and strengthen social cohesion and cultural identity.

Projects involving interdisciplinary cooperation between architects, urban planners, designers, researchers, public institutions, local communities and other relevant stakeholders will be supported. Particular importance is given to innovations based on the values of the New European Bauhaus initiative: sustainability, aesthetic quality and inclusiveness.

Calls are open until 12 November 2025.
