Domaine de Boisbuchet Residency Programme
Domaine de Boisbuchet Residency Programme
The programme will take place between May 25 and July 5 and between September 7 and October 4. Applications will be open until October, even if the season of residencies has already started.
Applications are open for artists, writers, architects, designers, filmmakers, musicians and researchers, as well as many other disciplines, who are developping projects alone or with collaborators. Residents can take advantage of all the facilities of the estate for work and accommodation, from 150 hectares of forest, pastures, river, lake and unpolluted fauna and flora; from the architectural park, extensive library, archive and collection; from the expertise and network offered by 30 years of organizing workshops, events, exhibitions and many other cultural activities with institutions and people from all over the world.
Boisbuchet offers up to 10 places at a time for a minimum of one week. Accommodation is provided in private or shared rooms with private bathrooms. Residents can share a room with partners or families. All residents are also offered full board meals from Monday to Friday with access to the kitchen. They have a large number of work and study spaces at their disposal, including a workshop, which is fully equipped with tools and machines to work with a variety of materials. There are also additional conference and study rooms where residents can discuss, read, write or plan. In addition, residents who want to work and experiment with nature will have access to 150 hectares of open space, where a wide range of materials are available, from bamboo and clay to wood, water and stone.
Boisbuchet covers part of the cost of living, but as a non-profit organization that finances its activities itself, it charges a fee to cover part of the cost of the program and to enable it to continue. This fee includes accommodation in a shared or private room with private bathroom, full board from Monday to Friday, access to all the facilities listed above, including numerous work spaces, use of a wide range of tools and materials, and access to the library, collection and extensive professional network:
