Le Wonder – International Research and Creation Residency
Le Wonder – International Research and Creation Residency
Le Wonder manages a collective studio and residency programme for artists and curators, and is also the author of an open call for an international research and creative residency.
Le Wonder is offering a one-month international residency in Bobigny, near Paris, open to artists and curators from a wide range of disciplines. The program emphasizes research and experimentation rather than the production of a specific project. Residents are encouraged to explore theoretical, material, or formal directions in their practice.
Although the residency can begin with a presentation of the artist’s current work, the final presentation is optional and may take the form of an open studio, lecture, workshop, screening, or even a banquet. Le Wonder provides a dynamic environment where 70 permanent artists work collectively, fostering spontaneous collaborations, cross-disciplinary dialogue, and shared creative processes. This residency aims to support new forms of artistic thought and co-creation in an independent, self-managed artistic ecosystem.
Selected artists and curators will receive 1 200 EUR as an artist fee, a 250 EUR travel allowance, and up to 400 EUR for production costs (with receipts). Free accommodation is also provided on site. The residency is open to applicants from across Europe and Ukraine, excluding residents of the Île-de-France region.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:55 PM. More information and the full open call are available on the organization’s official website.
