Encouraged are submissions that include:

• Photography exhibitions or individual photography projects
• Projects that are clearly structured and conceptually focused
• Projects that also explore the medium of photography on an experimental level (optional)

The exhibition theme is not predetermined. Artists are invited to submit their projects together with a curator of their choice.

The artist or author shall provide part of the financial resources required for the realisation of the exhibition. As co-producer of the exhibition, Cankarjev dom shall provide:

• A gross exhibition fee of €850 to the author of the exhibition
• A gross fee of €500 for the exhibition curator
• A gross amount of €400 for production costs
• Exhibition space in the Small Gallery of Cankarjev dom, including preliminary preparation of the gallery walls
• Access to Cankarjev dom’s technical and exhibition equipment during the exhibition period
• An agreed number of technical staff from Cankarjev dom to assist with the installation and dismantling of the exhibition
• Contribution to the promotion of the project according to a pre-agreed marketing campaign, including graphic design and printing of exhibition leaflets, e-invitations, posters, graphic elements for the CD website and social media, and organization of the opening event with refreshments
• Professional support in organizing and, optionally, curating the exhibition
• Return transport of artworks within Slovenia using the CD van, provided timely advance notice is given

The deadline for applications is 26 April 2026. You will be notified of the decision by email no later than 31 May 2026. The exhibition is expected to take place in the first half of 2027. Estimated duration of the exhibition is approximately two months.
