The second in the series of training programmes in the framework of Creative Accelerator is aimed at all creatives who make handcrafted products and are eager to learn new skills. This time, our workshop is organised in collaboration with the British Council, British Embassy and British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. The workshop will be led by Caroline Jackman (Crafts Council UK) and Andy Hunt Vodopivec (Coffee Cup Consulting). Registration required!
Join us if you are interested in:
- How to turn a creative idea into a viable craft business?
- What kind of public and private financial support can be obtained for the development of new handcrafted products or to upgrade the existing ones?
- What opportunities are there for creatives to establish contact with companies from Great Britain?
- How to set a price for a product?
With Caroline Jackman, Talent Development Manager at Crafts Council UK with extensive experience in supporting business and creative development of artists and makers, we will discuss what it takes for a creative idea to make a commercial breakthrough. Caroline is a key figure ensuring the delivery of the Hothouse programme, designed to offer support to makers in their creative and business development and their presentations at the international trade fair Collect Open, which is dedicated exclusively to modern craft and design.
With examples of good practices from Slovenia (Smet Umet and Moi Style) we will show how creative stories evolve into successful and viable business plans, and present opportunities for financial incentives for such maker practices in Slovenia and the opportunities for creative Slovenian enterprises in the British market.
Part three will be a practical workshop on pricing a handmade product, led by Andy Hunt Vodopivec, owner of the Coffee Cup Consulting agency, which advises Slovenian companies on how to go international and accelerate their business and sales in the global market.
Both the lecture and workshop will be in English.
Organised in cooperation with the British Council the second in the series of training programmes in the framework of Creative Accelerator welcomes all creatives who make hand-crafted products. The lecture and workshop will be led by Caroline Jackman (Crafts Council UK) and Andy Hunt Vodopivec (Coffee Cup Consulting).
