The Centre for Creativity and the Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO) announce the 29th Ljubljana Design Biennial (BIO 29): Soft Fields.

As part of BIO 29, the Center for Creativity supports the development of new design projects through the BIO 29 production platform, established based on an open call for participating artists. The selected artists will develop projects in collaboration with the curatorial team, researchers and other partners to be presented at the Biennial.

Under the curatorial leadership of Martina Muzi and in collaboration with Associate Curator for Research Ro Pérez Gayo, BIO 29 explores how design can open, redirect and redeploy knowledge that is often hidden in research, industrial and infrastructural environments.

The Biennial will present new research projects, international collaborations and local practices emerging at the intersection of design, science, technology, environment and society. Through various projects, it will raise questions about how design can connect different fields of knowledge and create new ways of understanding and responding to contemporary challenges.
