Incentives for micro-enterprises in the wood industry | Made in Slovenia sign of excellence
Deadline: 4 Jul and 2 Sep 2024

The Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport has listened to the initiative of the Center for Creativity and will award 4 additional points to applicants who are also recipients of one of the “Promotion of Creative Cultural Industries – Center for Creativity” tenders or bearers of the CzK Made in Slovenia mark of excellence upon application, which strengthens the link between the creative and economic sectors.
The purpose of the tender in question is to directly strengthen the micro-enterprise with the aim of enabling a development breakthrough, and indirectly to strengthen the entire wood processing industry and use the most important Slovenian natural resource – wood, which is also one of the foundations of the European transition to a low-carbon society.
Micro-enterprises represent the vast majority of all enterprises in the wood processing industry. These companies form the basis of the industry and an indispensable link in the wood processing chain. So they are the most dynamic part of the industry, but at the same time they are also very vulnerable to external factors (e.g. financial crises, economic crisis). The tender in question thus highlights the specific needs of micro-enterprises within the narrower wood processing industry (C16 and C31).
The tender funds amount to a total of 1.5 million euros, and the individual financings range from 15,000 to 70,000 euros of subsidies and cover 60% of the eligible costs of the project. Read more at the link.
