In Kamnik, a concrete wall stands between the former gunpowder factory and the city centre, which for decades prevented access to the area and separated the city from the factory. After the collapse of the factory, the space behind the wall was abandoned for many years, but now it is becoming a new location for cultural and creative activities. At the workshop, we will tear down a part of the wall and arrange an open space experimentally. We will work with recycled concrete, which will be obtained from the masonry, and with other waste construction materials found on site (brick, stone, glass, metal). We will test different principles of re-use and ultimately create original urban equipment.
