Skillshare: ANA ROŠ x MATEA BENEDETTI x FOH STUDIO
29 May 2026
MAO
As part of the Skillshare event, an inspiring evening was held on Friday, May 29, dedicated to exploring the intertwinement of cuisine, sustainable design and experiential design.
The main guests of the event were internationally renowned chef and founder of Hiša Franko Ana Roš, fashion designer and founder of the Benedetti Life brand Matea Benedetti, and founders of FOH Studio Anamarija Ludvik and Luka Kravanja. In a conversation moderated by Urša Jerkič, they presented examples of successful collaborations and co-creation processes that arise at the intersection of different creative fields.
Special emphasis was placed on the collaboration between Hiša Franko, Benedetti Life and FOH Studio as an example of the long-term integration of cuisine, design and sustainable approaches. Speakers highlighted how sensory experience, aesthetics and storytelling can come together to create a distinctive and holistic experience.
An important part of the evening was also a pop-up, the spatial experience of which was designed by Manca Košir and Jan Kozinc. The installation offered visitors a direct insight into the dialogue between cuisine and design and presented the works of numerous creators: Janža Dolinšek and Jakob Aljaž Padevski, Anja Fir, Brigita Gantar and Živa Hanc, Anja Geč and Anja Radović, Deja Hauptman, Eva Klinc and Sandi Planinšek, Rok Oblak and Andrej Vidic, and Liza Sočan. The atmosphere of the evening was co-created with musical accompaniment by Bowrain.
As part of the program, Matea Benedetti, Anamarija Ludvik and Luka Kravanja were also available for individual consultations. Participants gained concrete guidelines for project development in the areas of sustainability, design and experiential approaches, and established new professional connections. The event attracted approximately 140 visitors and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration, networking and knowledge exchange between different disciplines.
Anja Fir
Natural, local and with an unexpected twist. In collaboration with her father, a carpenter, Anja Fir has created dishes that are born from homeliness, nostalgia and respect for local ingredients. Her culinary vision is based on simple flavours, presented in a playful and slightly unusual way. Combining warmth, humour and carefully thought-out presentation, she offers visitors an experience that is both familiar and surprising. Food becomes a medium for storytelling, inviting the visitor to feel at home for a moment.
Anja Radović | M Y U x Anja Geč
The collaboration between ceramic designer Anja Radović and culinary artist Anja Geč is based on the motif of the seashell as a symbol of birth, femininity and connection with the sea. Hand-crafted ceramic bowls, inspired by the scallop and ancient iconography, create a special space for serving food. The culinary part consists of mini cheese balls with glasswort and a dessert with caramel and Piran salt. Together, they create a dialogue between food, material and seascape, in which contemporary design is intertwined with the ritual of eating.
Brigita Gantar | Kaša Studio x Živa Hanc
The project combines the hand-crafted porcelain of Brigita Gantar and the culinary interpretation of Živa Hanc. The porcelain pieces, made using the pinching technique, preserve handprints and emphasize the beauty of irregularities, and draw inspiration from the textures and shapes of rocks. A rice pudding dish with goat's milk, yogurt, honey, olive oil, sea salt and wild thyme comes from the memory of the simple flavors of childhood. Together, they create a subtle experience in which material, texture and taste come together in a modern interpretation of homeliness.
Janža Dolinšek | JNZ x Jakob Aljaž Padevski
Janža Dolinšek's FLOW collection explores the relationship between color, graphic elements, and form, creating a basis for a dialogue with cuisine. Jakob Aljaž Padevski combines Slavic and Nordic influences, fermentation, and forgotten food preparation techniques in his dishes. The plates feature thoughtfully composed bites - sourdough cracker with koji and wild herb pate, and buckwheat cake with honey, brown cheese, and wild berries. Design and cuisine meet here in a shared story about nature, memory, and the exploration of flavors.
Eva Klinc and Sandi Planinšek | D'Qualia x Deja Hauptman | Fina Glina
The installation explores the idea of transferring knowledge, creativity and experience between people. Eva Klinc and Sandi Planinšek from D’Qualia tell stories about cooperation and community through their original pralines, while Deja Hauptman gives material form to the stories with unique ceramic plates. The central element of the installation are sculptural chocolate hands, which symbolize connection, mentorship and creation. The holistic experience invites the visitor to reflect on the meaning of cooperation.
Rok oblak | Salto Dionys x Andrej Vidic
The collaboration between Rok Oblak and Andrej Vidic combines ceramics and contemporary vegan cuisine. Their “vegan fritters with a wild heart” combine salty, sweet and spicy flavors with wild plants selected by forager Gaja Pegan Nahtigal. They are placed on handmade micro plates made of extruded clay, with each piece being unique. The project explores the playfulness, diversity and unpredictability of the creative process and addresses the visitor through humor, texture and taste.
Liza Sočan
Liza Sočan's installation stems from her everyday relationship with stones – objects that are often overlooked, but carry stories of space, time and memory. She draws inspiration from natural shapes, textures and feelings triggered by finds from nature. She invites the visitor to take a fresh look at the familiar and to consider how appearances are often deceiving. In her interpretation, stones become something else: perhaps a plate, perhaps a dessert or an object of surprise. The project explores the boundary between nature, design and perception.
Hiša Franko x Benedetti Life
The collaboration combines a love of nature, ethical materials and a distinct aesthetic. Matea Benedetti experiences the collaboration as a creative dialogue, where the values of top gastronomy intertwine with ethical fashion. The result is not just aesthetic perfection, but an experience that subtly connects the visitor to nature, space and sustainability.
Hiša Franko x FOH Studio
The handmade ceramics for Hiša Franko, with their thoughtful form, texture and minimalist aesthetics, reflect the character of the space and the philosophy of the restaurant. Each piece co-creates the way of serving and subtly introduces the visitor to the story of the dish. The resulting ceramics are not just a design object, but a thoughtfully placed part of the experience, connecting the kitchen, the space and the visitor.
Ana Roš Spritz
Ana Roš Spritz is a lively interpretation of the classic aperitif, created without shortcuts and without added sugar. This makes it less sweet, drier and distinctly refreshing. It is based on vermouth from the Ana Roš Drinks line, made from biodynamically grown grapes and carefully selected wild herbs, to which Prosecco and a touch of soda or sparkling water add freshness and lightness. Its taste is warm, aromatic and slightly wild - a unique harmony between the Mediterranean character and the untamed energy of the mountain world.
