Fashion incubator 2026: fashion designer presentation 13/15
Nika Ravnik is a Slovenian fashion designer, costume designer, and author of the eponymous brand, dedicated to exploring unconventional, zero-waste design.
Her design practice develops at the intersection of fashion, art and the exploration of material, texture and structure of clothing, with a strong emphasis on a conceptual approach and sustainability as a core value. Simple geometric forms represent the starting point of each piece, which through experiment, texture and thoughtful construction develop into complex yet wearable forms. Her expression is marked by subtle avant-garde and timelessness, where clothing transcends function and becomes a carrier of ideas, feelings and personal expression.
Among her key collections are Geometry of Feeling, awarded the LJFW WOW Sustainability Award 2025, LALULI, recipient of the BIG SEE Fashion Design Award 2023, and Gabriela, awarded by the German Fashion Council (2018) and presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Fragments collection was selected for BCEFW in 2024, one of the key fashion weeks in Central Europe. In 2025, she received the SME EnterPrize award for sustainable business and international recognition, and with the selection for the Material Bar project at Milan Design Week 2025 and Vienna Design Week 2025, she also places her work in the broader context of contemporary European design.
