Fashion incubator 2026: fashion designer presentation 3/15
Anika Opara is a fashion designer who founded the brand ÆMONA with a vision to combine modern digital approaches and traditional garment making. Her work is based on storytelling, precision, the use of innovative approaches, and thoughtful design that transcends seasonal trends.
Anika developed a clear vision for her design language and advanced her technical skills by studying women’s fashion design at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Her journey later took her to Amsterdam, where she completed an internship at a Dutch menswear brand and advanced her skills at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. At AUAS, she first encountered the exploration of digital fashion and advanced 3D technologies.
She has presented her collections at Ljubljana Fashion Week, BCEFW and at Marlè magazine in Milan. Her most important projects include designing costumes for Slovenia’s Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Her work has been published in media such as Vogue, Elle, Numéro, Vanity Fair and i-D Magazine. In 2025, she received the Elle Style Award for Elle Designer.
