Fashion incubator 2026: fashion designer presentation 14/15
Ula Weiss is a Slovenian fashion designer and founder of the ulaweiss brand, which operates at the intersection of nature, art, and sustainable design.
Her work stems from a strong connection to the natural environment and an exploration of the balance between organic imperfection and the architectural structure of clothing. For her, fashion is a dialogue with nature and a way to translate its aesthetics into a contemporary context. Her pieces do not follow trends, but nature and its rhythm. Between the rawness of natural fibers and the sophisticated structure of design, an aesthetic is created that is both felt and experienced.
The ulaweiss brand is based on the concept of raw luxury and the development of a circular approach, where clothes are not consumable, but durable and evolving. It uses natural materials, with a strong emphasis on hemp, and includes the thoughtful use of second-hand elements and handwork. The first collection, Hempire, lays the foundations of the brand’s identity and explores hemp as a symbol of resilience, purity and sustainability.
Her work is developing towards international recognition, by integrating into contemporary fashion and art contexts and representing the brand in the wider European space. Ulaweiss clothing is designed as storytellers that develop and gain character over time, while maintaining contact with nature and its materials.
