Helsinki Design Week, established in 2005, is the largest design festival in the Nordic region, offering around 250 events each year as part of its programme. It is a multidisciplinary festival that offers inspiration to artists and creators in the field of design, architecture, fashion, urban culture, etc.
This year’s festival will take place between 8 and 18 September at multiple locations around Helsinki (museums, galleries, markets, cultural institutions, etc.) and online.
Design Market will be organized at Cable Factori between 10 and 11 September, where it will be possible to sell designer products that will be available for online purchase between 9 and 11 of September.
The theme of this year’s festival is “We are open” with which the organizers want to emphasize openness and transparency as a prerequisite for critical thinking in the field of design. More about this year’s event can be found at this link.
