The Olympic Committee of Slovenia has selected a team to design the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic collection
The Olympic Committee of Slovenia received eleven proposals for the call for proposals for the design of the Slovenian Olympic collection for Los Angeles 2028. Based on the presentations, the prepared shortlist and additional tasks received by the shortlisted teams, the expert commission for the design of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic collection selected the design team consisting of fashion designer and Olympian Cilka Sadar, fashion designer Sara Valenci and graphic designers Žiga Artnak and Emil Kozole (Studio Ljudje). By designing the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic collection, the authors of the collection combined their knowledge and experience for the first time on a joint project. The fashion designers designed the fashion collection, while the graphic designers developed its graphic identity.
The process for the design of the Slovenian Olympic collection Los Angeles 2028 was led by an expert committee, which included representatives of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and renowned experts in the fields of fashion, industrial and graphic design Matea Benedetti, Radovan Arnold and Jure Tovrljan.
The Slovenian Olympic Collection Los Angeles 2028 represents a confident and recognizable image of Slovenia, while modern cuts, sustainable materials and a well-thought-out graphic identity reflect the excellence of our athletes and the values they represent. The basic graphic image of the clothing and accessories comes from the story of the successes of Slovenian Olympians. The central symbol is Triglav, which consists of 59 elements; these represent the medals that Slovenian athletes have won at the Olympic Games so far. Together with the specially designed inscription Slovenia Triglav, it creates a recognizable and modern visual identity of the Slovenian Olympic team. The unified design concept connects the Slovenian Olympic collection into a recognizable whole and combines elegant clothing, relaxed sportswear and technologically sophisticated accessories. The special feature of the collection is the clothing for the opening ceremony, which draws inspiration from the characteristic elements of the Slovenian national costume, which are combined in a modern way with sports design, functionality and innovative materials.
The Slovenian Olympic collection for Los Angeles 2028 will be publicly presented before the Olympic Games.
