RogLab

RogLab is a creative hub working under the auspices of the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana since 2012. As a collaborative platform and Slovenia’s first public maker lab it provides a nurturing environment for creators, responds to the challenges of today’s society by producing development projects and diversifies its programme through a network of partner institutions and cross-sectoral collaborations. RogLab’s vision is rooted in creativity, latest technological revolutions and revitalisation of Ljubljana’s Rog Factory. Its sights are set on developing a larger creative hub with production spaces where makers, businesses, NGOs, cultural, educational and research institutions can use a common infrastructure and support programmes. Globalisation and frenetic technological advances are rapidly changing our cultural, technological and political environment, and with a flexible cross-sectoral platform we want to provide better solutions to the complex challenges pressing on makers.
